BOO at the ZOO

Last night, Kevin and I took Kyle (dressed as Tigger)and Max (Lion) with our friends Robbie, Kim and Michael (the dragon) Ball and Russell, Allison and Ella (the Lady Bug) Everhart to Boo and the Zoo! We had so much fun! The kids (techincally the Daddys) did some Trick or Treating, and rode on the slide and carousel. I have never seen 3 more proud Dads! I KNOW Kevin had just as much fun as Kyle did! As for the event, I never knew it was like a kiddie fair! I assumed you would walk around the zoo, see some animals and trick or treat with a couple of face painting, etc. Boy was I wrong. It was like a child's fair! They had rides and even an adult size Farris Wheel! We, of course, did not ride on it! It was very crowded and a little cool out, but we had the best time! I was worried the boys may get hot in their costumes and in the end, I was relieved that their costumes were warm! Anyway, I thought I would share some of our pictures with you all! Enjoy!

Kyle's Birthday Dinner

My 1st Birthday

God love him. It was the night before Kyle's first birthday and Kevin, Kyle, Mom, Dad, and I went to Purple Cow to celebrate. Kyle ate one of his favorite dishes, grilled cheese and french fries, and then opened his presents. We sang "Happy Birthday" and the sweet waitress thought she was doing a good deed by bringing Kyle a purple cow ice cream treat with a lit candle on top. OF COURSE, my one year old goes straight for the candle! Luckily, Kevin blew it out in time. Unfortunately, he did get some hot wax on his finger, so, it took him a minute before he would test out his desert. Poor baby! So, the moral of the story is.... No lit candles on a birthday cake until the child is old enough to understand HOT! :) Gosh, we are soooo first time parents!

Kyle's First Word!

Language Milestone!!!

Well, my baby said his first word yesterday! He was skinny dippin' in his baby pool at my parent's house and whined at me and said "Mamamama." I was so excited!!! So, I video taped him this morning in his highchair saying "Ma Ma." These milestones seem to make a pregnant woman cry! ;)

My First Day At Gymboree Class

I was so excited to start this class with Kyle. It is a 45 minute class once a week that helps Kyle with coordination, socialization and many other skills. He has never been around kids his own age, except his friend Ella that we don't get to play with that much. So, I figured this would be a great way for Kyle to explore and for me to meet and socialize with other moms in his age group. We had our first class today. I think it was a tad overwhelming for him, but I think it would be a great class for him to be able to learn. There are only 5 other kids, 4 boys and 1 girl. They are all walking and have been doing this class for a while. He watched and played with the balls, and even crawled up on the rock wall. I was proud. He is also getting his 3rd tooth and it seems to really bother him, so he was a little fussy. He also woke up so early this am that he was ready for his morning nap at 8:20 this morning, so he really needed to rest before this class. It is a very steady class. The teacher moves from one thing to the next quickly, so it may take a few times for Kyle to get into the swing of things. Over all, I really think that he will enjoy it. The teacher said it is overwhelming for kids the first few times. I can't wait to take him next week and see how he does. We will definately get a good nap beforehand! He was exhausted after class today! :)

Meeting a milestone!

Well, I woke up this morning and went to get Kyle only to find the little turkey about to stand up in his bed! I walked over to him and up he stood! He was soooo proud of himself!! So, I shot some pics of him today standing up so that I could share this wonderful, proud moment! I got tears in my eyes. My baby is trying to be a big boy!!

I'm back!

Ok, so I have been a terrible blogger lately! SO, I have spent the last hour and a half trying to figure out how to make a slide show using flickr and have given up! I can't link it to my blog! So frustrating! So, if any of you bloggers out there know how, please inform me!

We just found out that we are having another boy! His name is going to be Max, after my dad. We are very excited and looking forward to having him here! Life is going to be very busy but fun! I will try to be better at blogging.... Please forgive me.....
